Teaser Tuesday with Gunmetal Magic

Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
One of my favorite urban fantasy worlds is the Kate Daniels' world created by Ilona Andrews. It's what our world would be like after a magical apocalypse and magic is still creating chaos. Gunmetal Magic focuses on Andrea Nash, a friend of Kate's. Andrea's love interest is the irresistible Raphael. Mmm. I never thought a were-hyena could be so sexy!
Here's your teaser:
Ew. Well, that explained the light security. They had an undead guarding them. (page 66)

GUEST POST ALERT!
I'm over at M. Pepper Langlinais' blog today with a post on writing zombies in celebration of the release of L'il Gal Al and the Zombies of Amarillo. Please stop by and let us know what you like or dislike about zombies.

  1. The undead. Blech. Guess that covers how I feel about zombies. And yet, I can't seem to stop watching The Walking Dead. =)
